Frequently Asked Questions

1) How do you keep your products fresh and safe during shipping?
All of our desserts are packaged, encased and shipped in cooled, styrofoam insulated packaging, to ensure the fresh quality as the day it was made.


2) Will my order be shipped the same day that I place the order?
Orders received before 12:00 noon Central Time will be shipped out same day. Orders received after 12:00 noon Central Time will be shipped next business day.

3) What time will my gourmet dessert arrive?
We ship via UPS Ground. The deliver time varies by location.

4) What happens if I'm not at home when my order arrives?
All packages are shipped UPS with a "shippers release" so that a signature is not required for delivery, however, it is up to the discretion of the UPS delivery person whether to leave the package or not, based on your delivery location.

Upon the release of your order to UPS, you will be provided with tracking information so that if necessary you can communicate with UPS regarding the delivery of your package.

We are not responsible for packages that are not left at your location in your absence so we strongly recommend that you either ship to a location where somebody will be at to accept the package, or call UPS at 1-800-PICK-UPS or our Northwest Indiana Distribution Center at 1-219-940-5220 prior to placing your order to make sure you live in an area where UPS will leave a package in your absence. We recommend that you ship to a business address if possible, as generally there is somebody there all day to receive deliveries.

5) What if the delivery company is unable to complete delivery and issues a "Customer Not Available or Business Closed" exception?
We cannot be held responsible for the gourmet desserts.

This exception generally arises when the dessert is being shipped to an apartment building or commercial office or other commercial building where you have to have an entry code to enter or you ring a bell to be let into the building.

If the recipient is not home, or does not answer, the UPS courier can not get into the building and it is generally unsafe to leave the dessert on the street. They will leave a note at the door, and try again the next day. Unfortunately, we have found that the result is usually the same the next day.

We will make every effort to help you get the dessert delivered, but we can assume no liability if the dessert spoils in the process.

6) Can I send your desserts to somebody in Canada or any other non-US location?
We regret that due to the uncertainties in delivery times and the extraordinary additional expense, we can only ship within the United States.

7) Why can't I have a dessert delivered on a Monday?
We cannot initiate a shipment on the weekend. We SHIP Monday through Thursday, for DELIVERY on Tuesday through Friday. (See Saturday delivery below)

8) Can I ship a dessert to be delivered on Saturday or Sunday?
Sorry, we currently can not ship desserts to arrive on Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

9) Can I include a personal note with my order?
Yes, during the checkout process, you will be able to send us a note to be delivered with your order.

10) What is your Guarantee?
If you are not thrilled with your Benashay®Gourmet Manna
dessert for any reason*, we will send another dessert or cheerfully refund your money!

* The only exception to this guarantee is if you provide us with an incorrect shipping address, and the desserts are late, or undeliverable due to the bad address. Therefore, PLEASE...double check your shipping addresses before you place your order and make absolutely certain you have entered the information correctly on your order form. Incorrect shipping information will most likely result in the product NOT being delivered on the designated day. The cost of any reshipped products due to incorrect address information is the sender's responsibility. Address corrections will be subject to carrier handling or correction fees (approximately $12.50). Therefore, please check all shipping information carefully, especially zip code information.

11) How do I preserve the freshness of the dessert?
To preserve the freshness of your gourmet desserts, with the exception of the “Banana-Manna” flavor, we recommend that you place your gourmet desserts in the refrigerator or freezer soon after arrival.

Exception: The Benashay®Gourmet Banana-Manna dessert MUST BE REFRIGERATED!

If refrigerated, your Benashay®Gourmet Manna desserts will be ready to serve. If frozen, allow your gourmet desserts to thaw for approximately 15 – 20 minutes then serve. Most desserts have refrigeration life of 7 days and can be left in the freezer for up to 1 month with the exception of the “Banana-Manna” flavor dessert.

12) Does your product contain allergen?
Yes. Please review our Allergen & Ingredient Guide that lists a number of common allergens and is designed to help you make informed choices when you eat our Benashay®Gourmet Manna
desserts. If you have any questions about food allergies or sensitivities, we recommend that you contact your medical professional.
